The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed in regards to the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider position developed for intervention encounters a large influx of prospective beneficiaries, that sassa makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit sassa status to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to allow the servicing of all shoppers and enhance use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
